Dr. Ricardo Gamboa Gutiérrez

Dr. Ricardo Gamboa is currently the Head of the Clinical Department of Oncological Surgery at the Unidad Médica de Alta Especialidad in the city of Mérida, Yucatán. He conducts his private practice at Hospital Faro del Mayab, part of the Sistema de Salud Christus Muguerza. He has over 8 years of clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. He is a member of the Mexican Society of Oncology, where he currently serves on the board of directors of the Yucatán Chapter. He has been certified by the Consejo Mexicano de Oncología since 2016.

He graduated with a degree in Medicine from the Universidad Panamericana. Subsequently, he completed his specialty in General Surgery at Agustín O’Horán Hospital in Mérida, Yucatán, and obtained his degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán. He also completed his subspecialty in Oncological Surgery at the Instituto Nacional de Cancerología in Mexico City and obtained his degree from the Universidad Autónoma de México.

He has contributed as a co-author to books on cancer management, including “Tratamiento Del Cáncer. Oncología Médica, Quirúrgica Y Radioterapia” of Manual Moderno, and “Ginecología Oncológica” by McGraw Hill.

He has participated in numerous national and international congresses and has completed multiple courses focused on the surgical treatment of cancer.
